It didn’t hit her immediately, she had simply watched the girl quietly, remaining static against the window, appearing content with examining the small actions and movements that would of otherwise been missed, but after a little bit the girl seemed to realize something as her head snapped up instantly, making Ryoku watch her all the more intently. “Hmm?” she watched the girl motion back and forth with a dainty finger, and smiled privately as the meaning was as loud as an air horn at night. Ryoku had actually gained quite an ability to understand the girl, even though she had not once spoken a word. “I did buy it with intentions to give it to you.” She said with an indicating point of her chin in the girls direction. “Besides.. do I look like I wear dresses to you?” she said with a wink.

Blinking, still a bit in shock by the Inn Keeper's generosity, the silver haired girl shakes her head, silently answering the other's teasing question. Eyes drifting back down to the dress, she slowly runs her hands over it, spreading it out and removing any creases gripping it may have caused. Once she's completed that, she stares at the blizzard covered clothe, simply taking it all in.
Unconsciously, a grin of delight spreads across her cheeks. Looking up, it widens, her brightest smile yet. Soft slates sparkling with enthusiasm, she peers into those electric blues, trying to convey her feelings to Ryoku. Thank you! Thank you! This is the first gift she's ever received, or it is as far as she can remember.
Quite suddenly, she pushes her legs over the side of the bed and lowers them to the floor. Despite her feeling a bit wobbly still, she's too excited to stay still. She wants to try her new dress on right away! Catching her balance, she begins to strip the wet towel from her body, despite the chill that creeps down her spine as her damp skin is exposed to the room's air.

The smile alone that lit up the girls face was enough for Ryoku, even if she didn't like the dress and was simply smileing out of politeness, she had truly never seen her features in something other than sadness and worry, she never made it obvious other than her actions to keep the girl safe, but it worried her. She knew also from Shinkan's look she was thanking her and she nods, adjusting herself as she leaned against her window. Ryoku had really not thought the whole thing over, and didn't really plan beyond giving the dress to her, and was a little suprised to see the girl get up quickly. She kept her arms crossed, as she watched, but the minute the towel dropped she mentally did a double take, on the outside she appeared unfazed and simply focused on a cetain spot on the wall behind the girl, listening to the rustle of the girl move.

Letting the towel drop to her feet with a wet plop, the silver haired girl shivers in the chilled air of the room. Moving quickly, she pulls the dress on, slipping her arms through and over her head. Settling around her, she soft material falls about her body, going just past her knees. The dress fits her slender form well, hugging her torso and clinging to her legs, accentuating her modest curves. Pulling her long hair out from the back of it, she brushes it away from her face. It settles, untethered and still damp, a small stream of winking silver tumbling over her shoulders and down her back. A few lighter and shorter dried strands drift about her face, the longer parts tangling the farther it falls.
Bending down, she picks up the towel and hangs it on the end of the bed post. Stepping around the bed, she glances at Ryoku, who seems to be lost in thought and focused on a point of the wall behind her. Taking in a small breathe, she suddenly feels a little apprehensive. She doesn't know how she looks, only that her hair is long and of an unusual shade, and that her skin is fair. Shifting nervously, she moves in front of the Inn Keeper's line of sight, her expression one of worry and unsurity. Clasping her hands in front of her, she peers into those intriguing eyes, her whole expression hesitant yet questioning. How do I look? Is it... okay?

Ryoku had kept content watching the wall, but the flash of color that caught in her periferals had distracted her and pulled her stare to Shinkan, first her small features that were framed by her siren like hair, then the dress, the whole scene was fluster worthy, as the snowy dress hung perfectly from those delicate shoulders, revealing a quite feminine and adorable looking girl, she was right, the color suited her too, the opaque blue frills let her skin gently show through, and all the colors together complemented her eye and hair color. Ryoku was personally suprised with her good guess. She nodded to the girls questioning gaze, unaware her lack of reaction to the whole event as she stood placidly watching may be taken the wrong way. But a deliberate sparkle in her eye shone through as she flatly said. "You look perfect."

At first, she was unsure about Ryoku's response, for it'd been spoken in a rather bland tone and her posture gave nothing away. But peering directly into the other's eyes gives her ample opportunity to spot the quite gleam of appreciation sparking in those glinting blues. Her look of hesitation shifts once again to that beaming smile, her soft slates shining with her joy. She's just been complimented by the one who'd saved her; by the person she feels most comfortable with. She knows, without a doubt, that Ryoku would never willing or consciously harm her and the fact that the Inn Keeper still looks after only adds to that understanding. Not to mention, the dress was a gift from her!
"You look perfect."
Those words fill her with such warm feelings, sweeping through her in an overwhelming fashion. A light tinge of red sweeps across her cheeks. I've never felt this... happy? In fact, she's not felt this way much at all since arriving at Hakkyou, at least not so intensely. Every now and then, a small bit of the emotion would shoot through her, but then it'd die down, replaced with her usual worry and sorrow.
Overcome by her emotion, the silver haired girl quickly steps past the bed, her small feet silent, and towards the Inn Keeper. Looking up into the other's face, she pauses before the other woman, simply taking in those pale features. Still buzzing with the energy and wanting to show her appreciation, she suddenly hugs Ryoku. Thank you... so much... She wishes to share just how much it means to her and this is the only way she knows how.
Suddenly, she remembers that Ryoku isn't fond of other's touching her. Hastily, she withdraws from the hug and steps back a few paces. The blush staining her face deepens in her embarrassment. Sorry... Throwing the other an apologetic look, she then stares down at her feet, her hands clasped tightly in front of her. She can't seem to make eye contact and she doesn't know what to do. So she stands there, nervous and waiting for Ryoku's reaction.

Ryoku watched, observed and studied the girl, analyzing the bright smile that lit her face, and her slate eyes that eliminated in joy, Ryoku didn’t need to be a genius to see the wheels turning in the other girls head, the actions made Ryoku tilt her head lightly, arching her full, arched brow curiously, the girl was such an interest to her, as her attention did not waver for a second. ' Ryoku’s usual response to someone advancing on her would be to move away, but for some reason, she didn’t. Maybe it was the unyielding glass of the window that met her back, or perhaps something different all together. Whatever the reason she remained stationary, as the girl stepped forward. The elation the girl exuded, crackled like lightning, she hadn’t even contacted when Ryoku felt the surging of the others emotions, which were only intensified to such heights that Ryoku stood melted in shock, her eyes wide, and gaze faded as if in a deep daydream, once the small arms of the girl wrapped around her torso. Such happiness, flooding her senses, her dull, hidden senses. Ryoku kept such check on these emotions, for she seemed to lose herself somehow when experiencing them. But by no means of stopping it, her widened eyes of sky blue began to glimmer and spark, taking on a red tinge that flooded her iris and stained it. Her body burned, as if dipped in boiling water, and a flood of memories invaded her, all where hers, as a child, but she couldn’t see her parents, or the Inn, no, she saw many white haired, pale people, standing all around her, A woman with a crown and azure eyes, gently kissing her head and placing her in a casket, a small box also placed with her, it was a wooden box, and had a clear carving of a fox on the top. The memory suddenly collapsed imploding in on itself as Ryoku was jetted into the present, where she stood now alone, the warmth of the girl had left her, but the heat she had felt now burned in her eyes, she simply took a hand and shaded them, letting out a ragged gasp, as she leaned against the window harder, not speaking a word to Shinkan who stood looking ashamed with her actions just in front of Ryoku.

That sharp, gasping breathe, more than anything else, finally draws her eyes up from her feet and to the woman before her. What she sees, though, is far from reassuring.
The other was slumped against the window, her eyes covered by one of her large hands. Her chest rises and falls with ragged draws of air and she seems to not be speaking to the silver haired girl. Fear eating away at her, Shinkan stares with wide eyes, frozen in place. But the simple fact that the Inn Keeper doesn't seem to be so hot, snaps her out of her temporary paralysis.
W-what's wrong?? Face filled with worry, guilt, and her fear, the silver haired girl takes a few steps forward, her hand outstretched, before halting in place. Can't do that... She's afraid of bringing even greater harm to Ryoku, for it seems that her touch isn't exactly good for the other woman. Drawing her hand back, she licks her lips, taking a few steps away to give the other some space. Sorry... I'm sorry... I shouldn't have touched you. The dress swishes about her legs at her movement, only a faint reminder of her joy as her concern overtakes it.
She can't touch Ryoku, so that gives her few options to help the other. Still, she wants to right whatever harm she's done, or to at least help the Inn Keeper, like she's already done for her. Shifting from foot to foot, she levels her panicked gaze onto Ryoku, her expression questioning. What can I do? Unconsciously, her hands begin to rub against each other, over and under, dry washing themselves in a nervous habit.
(OOC: Ah ha, I found it to easier to read, although it wasn't too hard before. Thank you, though ~ =^-^=)

Ryoku had felt the feelings she herself would not allow herself to experience, these triggered her... subcontiusly she knew it, but she simply overed a faded smile to the girl, reassureing her, as she noticed her wringing her hands.
"I'm ok... just got a head rush.." she lied. "I'm probably just hungry.." she said standing straight to her full height to compose herself, her fingers gingerly bushing away her white hair from her eyes. Her gaze fell on the girl, she quickly yet gently brushed the girls cheek, trying to wipe away the worry. "Don't be sorry.. I'm fine." she softly said to her.

A head rush? Just hungry? A look of doubt crosses Shinkan's face as she stares at Ryoku; worry still shining in her eyes. She knows what a head rush feels like, it's happened to her often since waking up at Hakkyou. What had happened could of been a dizzy spell, but it looked like something more than that to the silver haired girl. But before she can try to inquire more into the odd happening, the Inn Keeper leans forward and brushes her fingers against her cheek.
Starting in surprise, for she'd not been expecting the other to touch her after what had happened, she stares at Ryoku, her slates wide. Yet, there's no bad reaction from the other. Only a weary yet gentle smile and and those softly spoken words.
"Don't be sorry.. I'm fine."
Smiling slightly, Shinkan nods her head, her cheeks once again lightly brushed with a roses touch. Hungry... Come to think about it, she's feeling a little peckish too. Running her finger down her dress, she peers questioningly up at Ryoku, her expression turning a little sheepish as her stomach gives forth a low rumble. Lately, she's been getting hungry at rather odd hours and much more frequently. It's most likely her body trying to recuperate from her past injuries.

Standing back up rigidly she regains her placid and stoic look, acting as if nothing had happened between them just moments before walking past the girl and over to her closet, her blue eyes gazing over her clothes as if carefully picking out something in her mind, although it was filled with an intense run off of emotions as a reaction to the previous event, but as usual, Ryoku was the kind of woman you could stab a knife through her hand as she wouldn't flinch, thats how experienced she was at hiding things. "If you want we can go down to the restaurant and grab a bite to eat." she said catching the small sound of her tummy rumble. "Besides will be nice to show you off in your new dress." she said with a soft wink, relieved she had something else to concentrate on.

Confusion enters her when Ryoku suddenly withdraws from her. Feeling a little hurt as the other woman once again shuts her out, Shinkan watches her companion carefully as the other draws herself up to her impressive height. But nothing happens; the Inn Keeper seems to have completely recovered from whatever had overcome her moments before.
Still preoccupied with her worries and thoughts, it takes the silver haired girl a few moments to realize that a question had been asked of her. Nodding her head in reply to the inquiry, it's the other half of Ryoku's words that throws her off guard. Glancing down at her dress, she gives a little smile, her expression softening as her eyes light upon it. Cheeks burning with the compliment and wink, she smiles shyly at her companion and gives another, smaller nod. Stepping slightly to the left, she indicates that the other may lead the way.

Ryoku almost felt the hurt emanating from the smaller fair skinned girl, it radiated like a fires warmth, it confused Ryoku, that her attitude and reactions to things, effected the girl so much, and for the first time ever, she felt guilty for her reactions and state of being, that made who she was. Now she had no idea where to go from there, how to assure anyone of anything. She couldn’t even explain things to herself let alone an outsider, Ryoku didn’t want this all to come to a head, the negative effect her attitude had always tended to ruin things, and something about this girl made her not want that to happen.
Ryoku had picked out a black dress shirt and a pair of loose fitting jeans, that she had quickly changed into before rejoining the girl. Ryoku nodded her chin to the door after a quick glance around ensuring she hadn’t forgotten anything, she whistled low making Nao come out of hiding, he scampered over and suddenly appeared on her head, dead asleep like a rag, her original constant companion, which now with the addition of Shinkan, made them somewhat of a trio.
(I'll make a new thread in the restaurant.)
